Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology objectives:

  • To nurture highly qualified scientists and engineers possessing profound theoretical knowledge and application capability

  • To perform mid-to long-term basic and applied research for domestic development and cultivation of science and technology

  • To provide research platforms for other research and industrial institutions.

The College of Engineering aims to nurture outstanding human resources with creativity and application capabilities in order to create leaders who will set trends in scientific and technological advancement and contribute to Korea and the rest of the world.

The College of Engineering currently offers 11 departments: Civil and Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (Division of Mechanical Engineering, Division of Aerospace Engineering), Biosystems, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Design, Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, Nuclear and Quantum Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Computer Science (Division of Computer Science, Division of Electrical Engineering). Nine majors and programs are offered: Semiconductor Engineering program, Information Technology program, Information Technology major, Environmental and Energy Engineering major, High Molecule Engineering major, Cultural Science major, Nano Science Technology major, e-Man facturing Leadership, and Software Expert Program).
